New!
Adaptive Fitness:
Putting the “ALL” in ALLEGRO.
If you’re an individual with a physical or cognitive disability, you belong at Allegro. Maybe you’re training to earn a podium spot at a Hyrox race or improve your performance in wheelchair basketball. Maybe you’re just looking to improve your health markers, reduce stress, and make the activities of daily living a little easier. Either way, we are creating an inclusive space for all bodies to achieve their best.
Our new focus on adaptive athletes
In 2026, our owner, Julie, earned her certification as an Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer through the Adaptive Training Academy. In addition, we hosted the Adaptive Athlete Experience, in which participants performed common functional movements as seated athletes, with upper or lower extremity impairments, and blindfolded. We even programmed a similar workout for all of our members and guests to do in class during an open house week, so they could experience it too.
Through it all, with a goal of normalizing adaptive fitness and getting our community thinking about inclusion, our members and trainers have come with an open mind, eager to learn more and grow our community.
Your options
We have over 30 group fitness classes every week you can join, or you can sign up for a personal training package. In addition, adaptive athletes can join our Hyrox simulations as non-members! Just note on the form what adaptive category you’ll be racing in and we’ll be in touch.
New athlete onboarding for group fitness
While our classes are generally beginner-friendly, some additional onboarding steps with Julie will be beneficial for you so we set you up for success. Throughout, we’ll work together to develop a plan, and Julie will communicate behind the scenes with the entire coaching staff as well. In general, here’s what you can expect.
Health questionnaire: you’ll provide information about your impairment, adaptive equipment you use, treatments (physio, OT, etc.), and more.
1:1 assessment: Julie will meet with you (and, if you wish, a family member or other support person in your life) to review the questionnaire, discuss your goals, and perform a movement assessment. This will help her understand your range of motion, core function, etc.
1:1 workout: In the next appointment, Julie will run through a workout with you that will cover some common adaptations that will be suitable for you.
First group class: Julie will attend your first group class and provide support to you and the coach throughout.
Second group class: Finally, Julie will work out with you at the next group class to shadow and observe, stepping in to assist only if needed.
Introductory rates
As we establish our program, we’d like to offer free onboarding to the first ten adaptive athletes, as well as a discounted rate on membership!
