FAQs

I haven’t done CrossFit before. Do I need to be in shape or familiar first?

1

Not at all! Many of our athletes are beginners - or remember being beginners. Every workout we do is scalable, and our friendly coaches will help identify versions of each movement that will be suitable for you. In addition, you have the option of doing a New Member On-Ramp, which is a series of one-on-one coaching sessions designed to familiarize you with foundational movements. It’s a great way to build up confidence as you begin your journey with us!

Can I bring my kids to the gym?

2

I struggle to stick with an exercise plan. How can I stay motivated?

While we don’t have a formal childcare program, we do have a space on the far side of the gym with toys, a TV, and a Pack and Play ready for your kids. Several of our members bring their kids from time to time and get a workout in with them within view nearby. (And we love seeing the example they are setting for their little ones!)

What about my dog?

3

What kind of results will I see?

We’re a dog-friendly gym! We have a large back yard that your dog is welcome to use. Let them get some exercise while you do the same! Or, you can tie their leash up inside if they won’t be disruptive to class. You are responsible for your dog’s behavior and safety.

How often should I train?

4

We celebrate our monthly “Committed Club” of members who log 16+ workouts for a reason: something magical happens when you train more days than you don’t. So, we encourage 4-5 days per week. However, if you’re just starting out, 3 days per week is a great starting point. Most importantly, listen to your body. Take rest days, get adequate sleep, and push hard without burning out.

We get it. Motivation can be tricky. It’s a combination of finding exercise you enjoy, surrounding yourself with people who inspire you, seeing results, and more. We can offer all of that - but to be brutally honest, relying on motivation can be a losing proposition. That’s where discipline and habit building come in. If that’s an area of struggle, know that we offer Momentum Coaching. These 30-minute sessions can cover how you’re doing with training, nutrition, sleep, stress, and more, so we can identify simple, actionable steps to help you build meaningful habits that brig you closer to your fitness goals.

Increased energy. Improved health markers. PRs (especially if you use our member app to log your results - celebrate those wins!). More stable mental health. Increased athletic performance. Less pain. Confidence in your body and what it can do. And, likely, changes in your body composition, which you can monitor using our InBody scanner; it measures your weight, body fat percentage, and muscle mass to identify how your habits are impacting your body. These changes can take time, but if you trust the process - and commit to personal growth and lots of fun along the way - you’ll find that long-lasting, life changing results are worth every rep.
